Partey trains with Villarreal after sealing move
Partey joins the Yellow Submarine as they prepare for their Champions League return. He also bolsters the team ahead of the 2025/26 La Liga season.
A video posted by Villarreal on X showed Partey in full training gear. He participated in drills and tactical exercises with the rest of the team.
The session was led by head coach Marcelino García Toral. Partey looked sharp and composed, blending in comfortably with his new teammates.
When will Partey play his first game for Villarreal?
Partey could make his debut on Sunday, August 10. Villarreal face Premier League side Aston Villa in a pre-season clash, per Sofascore.
Just five days later, they begin their La Liga season. They will host Real Oviedo at Estadio de la Cerámica.
That match could see Partey face fellow Ghanaian Kwesi Sibo. Sibo has openly admired Partey and may now get the chance to play against him.
Partey’s Legal troubles continue in the background
While Partey gets ready for a fresh start on the pitch, issues off the field linger.
According to The Guardian, he is currently on conditional bail.
The former Arsenal star faces five counts of non-consensual acts and one charge of sexual assault. He has denied all allegations and maintains his innocence.
Despite the ongoing case, Villarreal moved forward with his signing. The spotlight now follows Partey both on and off the field.
