Legendary Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger believes this could finally be the season the Gunners reclaim the Premier League title, two decades after their historic unbeaten campaign in 2003/04.
Speaking with conviction, the Frenchman expressed full confidence in Mikel Arteta’s side, suggesting the current squad possesses both the depth and resilience needed to go all the way.
Why Wenger believes Arsenal will win the Premier League
When asked about Arsenal’s title credentials, Wenger replied, as cited by Tribuna:
“Yes, without any hesitation. You might say that I say that every year but I believe this year they are really equipped to deal with any problems.
“When they lost Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka last season it was too much but this year you have Madueke, Eze, Martinelli, Trossard.
“At the back they have Mosquera, down the flanks and at the back they have replacements. Lewis-Skelly doesn’t get in the team at the moment and he’s an England international.
“Compare them with Liverpool. I watched them against Chelsea and Szoboszlai was at right back and Gravenberch was centre back. Arsenal would not be in that kind of position.”
Wenger sees balance, depth, and maturity
Wenger’s comments highlight what many fans and pundits have observed — Arsenal’s evolution into a complete, balanced unit capable of sustaining a title challenge.
With attacking flair, defensive solidity, and greater squad depth, the Gunners appear better prepared to withstand the rigours of a long season.
The Invincibles architect has long remained a proud admirer of Arsenal’s progress under Arteta, and his latest endorsement only adds to the growing belief around the Emirates that this could indeed be their year.
