Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have finally confirmed the news fans have been waiting nearly a decade to hear: they’re getting married.

The announcement came straight from Georgina’s Instagram, in a post that set social media alight. She shared a close-up of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, the centrepiece an extraordinary diamond ring. Her caption was simple yet poetic:
“Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
That single sentence, paired with the dazzling image, sent waves of congratulations flooding into her comments section.

While the engagement is the milestone, the ring is the showstopper. Experts estimate it to be worth over $5 million, a testament to Ronaldo’s no-expense-spared approach.
The centrepiece is believed to be an emerald-cut diamond between 10 and 15 carats, set in platinum and flanked by tapered baguette side stones. High-grade gems of this calibre, flawless, D-colour, are among the rarest in the world.
Brisbane-based jewellery designer Nick Ireland, one of Australia’s top diamond specialists, thinks it could be even bigger.
“I think it’s somewhere around 30 carats,” he told 9Honey. He estimates the diamond alone could command around $5 million, depending on specific details.
Ireland described it as “a beautiful, big oval-cut diamond”, with side stones that may also be oval, weighing roughly six grams. Including the setting and additional diamonds, the piece could total between ten and fifteen grams.
And in a twist that might surprise non-jewellers, Ireland added that a diamond of this size might actually be easier to assemble and clean than a smaller stone.
With no wedding date announced yet, fans will have to wait to see when the couple makes it official. But one thing is certain, the proposal was every bit as spectacular as the love story behind it.
