Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal’s relationship with Argentine rapper Nicki Nicole has been the subject of headlines and speculation for weeks.
Now, the 25-year-old singer has finally spoken publicly, confirming she is “very much in love” with the rising football star.

Rumours of their relationship first surfaced in July when Nicole attended Yamal’s extravagant 18th birthday party. The event sparked controversy after reports claimed dwarves and blonde escorts had been hired for the celebration.
By mid-August, the pair made their romance official, posing together during Nicole’s 25th birthday celebrations.
But their relationship quickly faced scrutiny, with Spanish press suggesting the two had already split after just 13 days together.
Yamal appeared to quash those rumors himself on Sunday. In a light-hearted dressing room video shared by Barcelona teammate Nico Williams, the teenager proudly showed off Nicole as his phone screensaver. Williams teased him with the caption: “Mi chaval está in love” — which translates to, “My boy is in love.”

Nicole has now addressed the relationship directly. Speaking at the Desigual fashion show, the rapper couldn’t hide her emotions.
She said: “I am very in love, very happy and very happy. I am very happy, very happy in Barcelona, with a lot of affection from the people and I want to thank everyone. It’s my first time in a Desigual show. I’m very happy. It means everything. First for the invitation, second because I’m with incredible stars that I admire very much and I really want to meet.”
Nicole, whose real name is Nicole Denise Cucco, also revealed that Yamal has been teaching her Catalan, a gesture that reflects how serious the young couple may be about their future together.

In 2024, rumours swirled of a romance between the two during his brief separation from long-term partner Valentina Cervantes, with whom he has since reconciled.
For now, however, Nicole seems entirely focused on her blossoming relationship with Barcelona’s teenage sensation, one that continues to capture as much attention off the pitch as Yamal does on it.
