Alejandro Garnacho is pushing for a move to Chelsea this summer. The Manchester United winger wants a fresh start after being frozen out.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is now his top choice. Garnacho is said to prefer staying in the Premier League over moving abroad.
Alejandro Garnacho keen on moving to Chelsea
He’s “keen” on joining the Club World Cup winners. Romano also revealed that Chelsea may submit an official bid later this month.
The 21-year-old is part of Ruben Amorim’s so-called “bomb squad” players who have no future at United. That makes his departure all but certain.
Chelsea, however, hopes to land him at a cut price. The Blues have already offloaded Noni Madueke and Joao Felix. More sales could follow to make room and funds for Garnacho.
RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons is also on their radar. Garnacho has attracted plenty of interest this window.
What’s next for Alejandro Garnacho?
Clubs like Napoli, Aston Villa, and Tottenham have been linked with him. But Chelsea has emerged as his preferred destination. Once a rising star at Atletico Madrid, he now seeks a reset in London.
He’s not part of United’s pre-season tour in the United States. And with the new season just two weeks away, time is running out. Garnacho hopes a deal will be sealed before the Premier League kicks off.
